Jamie Bakos, Manager of Environmental Services of Giffels/Ingenium joins SHEC's Board of Directors
June 16, 2005
SHEC-Labs is pleased to announce that Jamie Bakos, P.Eng., Manager of Environmental Services with Giffels Associates Limited (an Ingenium Group Company) has joined the board of directors of SHEC-Labs.
Mr. Bakos is a professional environmental engineer with 12 years experience in the fields of environment and energy. He has technical and business expertise in process and environmental engineering, green energy, air quality, water and wastewater treatment, and environmental approvals.
Mr. Bakos is a regular on the conference circuit and has delivered papers on the topics of greenhouse gases and agriculture, sustainable development, eco-efficiency, energy savings opportunities, and biogas and landfill gas upgrade and utilization. In August, he will present a paper on SHEC's technology at the First International Symposium on Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Technologies in Calgary, Alberta.
Mr. Bakos says,
SHEC has developed some fantastic environmental technologies. Seeing their solar dry fuel reforming technology grow from a lab-scale to a fully integrated operating system is very exciting. The development and installation of technologies to improve our environment is the reason I became an environmental engineer. I am looking forward to the deployment of SHEC's technologies in the marketplace.
Environmental solutions combined with a strong business model will lead to sustainable development. We have to reduce greenhouse gases and move into a hydrogen economy in a cost-effective manner. The need for clean environmental technologies has never been greater.
My relationship with Giffels and SHEC will help advance SHEC into the commercial arena.
Stephen O'Brien, P.Eng. and Vice-President, Infrastructure of Giffels states,
We are fully supportive of this enhanced relationship between Jamie Bakos and SHEC and confirm that Jamie will continue to act as Manager of the Environmental Services Department with Giffels.
Giffels remains fully supportive of our partnership agreement with SHEC and look forward to working with SHEC on solar hydrogen and other innovative technology projects.
Ray Fehr, VP. Marketing with SHEC-Labs is pleased with the addition of Mr. Bakos to the team. He stated, "Jamie's professional experience and SHEC's enhanced relationship with Giffels will greatly assist SHEC in moving forward in commercial project deployment."
